Good Evening..

Hey everyone! All the trick or treaters are gone. I think I only had about 20. Still have a lot of candy left but I guess my work will get to reap the benifet of that. It was a good night. I wanted to share with you all some pictures from the Halloween party that I went to on Saturday. It was a fun day and I enjoyed hanging out with my firends! Hope that your Halloween was wonderful!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hello all! Happy Halloween. I still need to get some pictures loaded of the Halloween Party this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. We had a good time carving pumkins and being silly. This morning I wanted to share a few pictures I took this morning at Waverly Hills. It was a really neat place that I bet looked very spooky even when it was open. I did not get touched by any ghosts not did I see anything. It was a very small tour. I think Christina and I have decided that we have to go back when we can go on the 2 hour tour that they offer. They also offer a 4 hour and a 8 hour over night stay but I am not brave enough for that. I have to apoligize for the pictures it was 6:30 am when I took these and not easy getting the camera to take pictures of things that it cannot see. So some of them are dark and others are really bright. It was all or nothing really.

The first picture is of the front of the building. It is a very big gothic style building. It has 5 floors and could house over 400 patients. This picture does not do it justice.

On the SciFi channel there is a show called Ghost Hunters. they are in town for the night to film live from 9pm-3am. So sent you DVR or VCR to record and watch to see if they can catch anything sooky! Because they are in town most of the hospital was shut down and we could not tour it so it was kind of disipointing but still cool.

The next picture is of the cafeteria area. Many people say that they have smelled breads and cookies baking coming from this room when they are alone at night. Today I did not smell anything, but does not mean anything. I did find however that this picture has something weird in it. It looks like to me a head and shoulders in the middle but I am not sure that it is not just some weird light bouncing off the lens. What do you think?

And Finally here is a picture of me at the bottom of the Death Tunnel or the Body Chute. It was a tunnel that they transported the dead bodies out of the hospital through. They did this to keep moral up they did not want all the patients seeing the bodies leaving the hospital and getting discouaged. It was 455 feet down a hill in a pitch black tunnel and I walked all the way down and then back up. That was tiring and creepy.

I hope that you all have a Happy Halloween! I will try to post some pictures tonight of the party. Love you all!

So excited!!!

I am so excited. For those that do not know there is a place here in Louisville that is considered one of the Scariest Places on earth. It is Waverly Hills Sanatorium which is an old Tuberculois Hospital. It is said to be the most haunted place on earth. Well it get to the point my friend Christina won tickets to go tour the place with one of the local radio stations. Her boyfriend did not want to go because you have to be there at 5:30am on Halloween morning. Well I have wanted to go for years and she agreed to let me go with her. I can't wait it is going to be so cool. for those that want to know more here is the places offical website. http://www.waverlyhillstbsanatorium.com/ I will take some pictures when I am there and I will post them. Maybe we will see a ghost! I will have more info to post later. Love you all!

Don Juan Ho King

I thought that I would share a few pictures that I took of the doggie that Robb and I might adopt. We still have to work on a few things before we decide. Like the fact that Don Juan likes to eat strangers and that he has to have meds for his eyes everyday.

Yes I know that he looks like a cross between a gremlin and a ewok but I think that he is cute. He is so ugly that he is cute. Or as one friend said that he had a face that only a mother would love. I am not sure what we are going to do yet but I will let you know what we decide. Hope that everyone is well. I have a Halloween Party tomorrow so I will have some good pictures to share with you later this weekend. Love ya all!

Sorry it has been so long..

I have just been busy and not really completed any projects. I do finally have a few things to show you. The first is for a Wooden Letter Swap that I am involoved in through Paper Crafts Magazine. The lady wanted a letter the Letter H for her last name. She likes purples, sage greens, buttons, ribbon and sparkles. I think that I accoplished my goal. What do you think? I think it turned out cute.
The other was this weekends challenge from Beate's Blog.I never work with purples so I went out side my comfort zone with this one and made it purple. I guess the letter inspired me. The stamped image is one I recieved from a nice lady that was not going to use them. I what happy with the results. It just seems like a happy card. I did not put any sentiment inside so the lady that I am giving it to can choose. The last thing that I wanted to share is a cute picture of my Spike. He was sun bathing and I caught him at a happy moment. I hop that all is well with everyone. I should have some more pictures soon of the doggie that we are thinking about getting and this weekend I have a halloween party to attend and I will have great pictures from that. Should be fun. Love you all!

Another Weekend Come and Gone!

Wow the weekend went by fast. Seems like the week days linger on forever and once 5pm on Friday rolls around I blink and I am back again on Monday morning. Oh well that is life. Hope everyone is doing well. Nothing too big going on around here. Just a lazy last few days. We went Sunday and bought a bar for our game room. I will take a picture when it is delivered. Better yet I will try to remember to take pictures of the entire house and post them in a slide show.
Anyhoo, today I wanted to share with you my card I made for Beate's weekend challange #23. I have to admit to you all that I actually listened to Chirstmas music while I made this. I am a dork for the holidays. I think that Robb thought I was completely nuts, but I think he thinks that on a regular basis. Oh well it makes me happy and that is all that matters. I think that I will download somemore tonight. Hope that you all have a wonderful day!

WooHoo FRIDAY!

What a week! Not a lot of sleeping happening this week. If it is not the cats, the school bus, it is the smoke dectors that went off the other night because we had to turn the heat on for the first time ever. I guess what ever coatings were burning off caused smoke. That was are really wonderful awakening at 1:30am. Could not go back to sleep after that. The heat is fixed now had to run it all last night with the windows open to air out the smell, but now we are good.
Hope that everyone is doing well. Wanted to share a few things with you. The first is a series of Turkey cards that I made for a swap toss. I bought this turkey stamp just for it. I loved that he was dressed up as a pilgram.

And the last thing I wanted to show you all was my 2x2 bits and pieces swap. The theme was winter. I had my eye on this little guy for a long time and it finally forced me to buy it. I think that they turned out cute.

Since the weather has finally gotten cooler I am going to try to get some stuff outside done. Need to edge the flower beds and create a few. I plan on making a veggie garden in the back yard and a flower garden. We will see when we get to that. Also we are rearranging the garge this weekend and putting things in our attic. At least it is nice outside. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good Morning..

Hope all is well with you guys. I am tired today. Between the cats and the School bus that backs up in front of my house at 6:05 every morning I am spent. I just need to make my house sound proof.
Anyway, I have a few new creations to share this morning. These are a few cards for some swaps that I am involved in. The first one is a little snowman that is supposed to be surrounded my a light beam. I think that it worked. I have never done anything like it so I was unsure. I liked the tree paper I think that it looked like a forest. He is colored in with sparkle gel pens. The other creations are for a swap where I made criss cross cards. which I have made before but not 5 at one time. They really tired me out. I think that I will stick to basic cards from now on when I do swaps. Hope that you all like and have a great day!

I am back..

I am finally with it again. I got all caught up after being gone the first part of the week. I don't think that I recovered from sleep until Sunday. But now I have gotten abck into the swing of things again. I wanted to thank all of you that send kind words to me about my Grandfather. His funeral was nice and I am sure it was just what he would have wanted. They had the navy come out and play taps and present Uncle Don with an American Flag. It was really touching.

Now I am back home and I have been working on some projects that I had to put off because of my trip. I made some cards and some projects that were half done and driving me crazy.

The first card is made from a sketch from Bete's weekend challenge. I love the circle on the side it really adds to the design. I do not have a circle cutter so I traced it from a tin pail that I had sitting around. It works for me. :o) This card is part of a gift set that I made for someone, but not going to tell becuase I have not sent it yet.

The other card posted is called and Artist Trading Card (ATC) they are swapped among crafters. They will be various themes but always on the back of the cards list personal info about you so people can contact you if they have questions about what you made. Here is the first one that I have ever made. The theme was Penguins. You know that I could not pass that one up. It is just a little penguin that I heat embossed and he is on a 3.5x2.5 card with little rhinestones in the corners. I liked him. Hope that you do. Anyway I hope that all is well with you all. I will try to up date again soon.
Love You all.
