Happy Cyber Monday!

Today is apparently the biggest online shopping day of the year. Oh well I am still not sure when I am going to shop but it will get done and everyone will get something. If there is anything that you all really want please send me an email and I will see what I can do.
I am slowly making a dent in the Christmas projects to do list. I kind of see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am currently on the hunt for a Christmas tree that is somewhat cat proof. Which translates to one that they cannot knock over. I have decided that I cannot have a real tree due to the fact that one of my cats would try to eat it and the other has a thing about eating things off the floor so needles would be bad for him. My cats are really bad when it comes to the christmas tree. Oh well part of the joy of the Christmas season.
In other news, the dog that I wanted got adopted. I was sad for me but happy for him. He really needed a home. So now Robb and I have agreed to wait until the spring when we can put in a fence and then he will get me what ever dog that I want. I will keep you all informed on my hunt.
We had a good Thanksgiving. It all went by way to fast. I was under the weather so did not get to take any pictures. But we had a good time at both Meals. I had one at my house and Robb's parents had one at theirs. Hope everyone enjoyed their day and now we are looking forward to Christmas holiday.
Well I must go work now. I hope that everyone is doing well. I hope to have sometime soon and I will post some pictures from my friend Michelle's baby shower and maybe if I get to it some of my Christmas creations. Love ya all!!

So Many Projects, So Little Time

Can you believe that it is only 42 days until Christmas. I am not ready for that yet. I have barely begun to make stuff. I did get a lot done yesterday but that is only the tip of the iceburg. I just have to remind my self to breath!
Okay now I am done freaking out. I am sorry that I have not posted latley but I have been busy and the stuff I have been making I can't post or it will spoil the suprise. I just wanted to say Hello and make sure you all knew that I was alive. I will try to get some pictures tonight and get them posted tomorrow. Love you all!

Merry November

Well since all the stores look like Christmas exploded in them I figured that I would just start now by wishing everyone a Merry November. Don't these stores know that they are stressing me out. I am not even close to being done with all the Stuff that I have to make for Christmas. Auuughhh!
Okay I am better now. How are you all? I just wanted to pop in and say Hi. Not much going on tonight. I have a few errands to run, but hoping to get some crafting done tonight. I wanted to share a card that I made with you all. It is just one I made for my Card Circle that I am in. Hope all is well with you. Have a great night.

Good Evening..

Hey everyone! All the trick or treaters are gone. I think I only had about 20. Still have a lot of candy left but I guess my work will get to reap the benifet of that. It was a good night. I wanted to share with you all some pictures from the Halloween party that I went to on Saturday. It was a fun day and I enjoyed hanging out with my firends! Hope that your Halloween was wonderful!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hello all! Happy Halloween. I still need to get some pictures loaded of the Halloween Party this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. We had a good time carving pumkins and being silly. This morning I wanted to share a few pictures I took this morning at Waverly Hills. It was a really neat place that I bet looked very spooky even when it was open. I did not get touched by any ghosts not did I see anything. It was a very small tour. I think Christina and I have decided that we have to go back when we can go on the 2 hour tour that they offer. They also offer a 4 hour and a 8 hour over night stay but I am not brave enough for that. I have to apoligize for the pictures it was 6:30 am when I took these and not easy getting the camera to take pictures of things that it cannot see. So some of them are dark and others are really bright. It was all or nothing really.

The first picture is of the front of the building. It is a very big gothic style building. It has 5 floors and could house over 400 patients. This picture does not do it justice.

On the SciFi channel there is a show called Ghost Hunters. they are in town for the night to film live from 9pm-3am. So sent you DVR or VCR to record and watch to see if they can catch anything sooky! Because they are in town most of the hospital was shut down and we could not tour it so it was kind of disipointing but still cool.

The next picture is of the cafeteria area. Many people say that they have smelled breads and cookies baking coming from this room when they are alone at night. Today I did not smell anything, but does not mean anything. I did find however that this picture has something weird in it. It looks like to me a head and shoulders in the middle but I am not sure that it is not just some weird light bouncing off the lens. What do you think?

And Finally here is a picture of me at the bottom of the Death Tunnel or the Body Chute. It was a tunnel that they transported the dead bodies out of the hospital through. They did this to keep moral up they did not want all the patients seeing the bodies leaving the hospital and getting discouaged. It was 455 feet down a hill in a pitch black tunnel and I walked all the way down and then back up. That was tiring and creepy.

I hope that you all have a Happy Halloween! I will try to post some pictures tonight of the party. Love you all!

So excited!!!

I am so excited. For those that do not know there is a place here in Louisville that is considered one of the Scariest Places on earth. It is Waverly Hills Sanatorium which is an old Tuberculois Hospital. It is said to be the most haunted place on earth. Well it get to the point my friend Christina won tickets to go tour the place with one of the local radio stations. Her boyfriend did not want to go because you have to be there at 5:30am on Halloween morning. Well I have wanted to go for years and she agreed to let me go with her. I can't wait it is going to be so cool. for those that want to know more here is the places offical website. http://www.waverlyhillstbsanatorium.com/ I will take some pictures when I am there and I will post them. Maybe we will see a ghost! I will have more info to post later. Love you all!

Don Juan Ho King

I thought that I would share a few pictures that I took of the doggie that Robb and I might adopt. We still have to work on a few things before we decide. Like the fact that Don Juan likes to eat strangers and that he has to have meds for his eyes everyday.

Yes I know that he looks like a cross between a gremlin and a ewok but I think that he is cute. He is so ugly that he is cute. Or as one friend said that he had a face that only a mother would love. I am not sure what we are going to do yet but I will let you know what we decide. Hope that everyone is well. I have a Halloween Party tomorrow so I will have some good pictures to share with you later this weekend. Love ya all!

Sorry it has been so long..

I have just been busy and not really completed any projects. I do finally have a few things to show you. The first is for a Wooden Letter Swap that I am involoved in through Paper Crafts Magazine. The lady wanted a letter the Letter H for her last name. She likes purples, sage greens, buttons, ribbon and sparkles. I think that I accoplished my goal. What do you think? I think it turned out cute.
The other was this weekends challenge from Beate's Blog.I never work with purples so I went out side my comfort zone with this one and made it purple. I guess the letter inspired me. The stamped image is one I recieved from a nice lady that was not going to use them. I what happy with the results. It just seems like a happy card. I did not put any sentiment inside so the lady that I am giving it to can choose. The last thing that I wanted to share is a cute picture of my Spike. He was sun bathing and I caught him at a happy moment. I hop that all is well with everyone. I should have some more pictures soon of the doggie that we are thinking about getting and this weekend I have a halloween party to attend and I will have great pictures from that. Should be fun. Love you all!

Another Weekend Come and Gone!

Wow the weekend went by fast. Seems like the week days linger on forever and once 5pm on Friday rolls around I blink and I am back again on Monday morning. Oh well that is life. Hope everyone is doing well. Nothing too big going on around here. Just a lazy last few days. We went Sunday and bought a bar for our game room. I will take a picture when it is delivered. Better yet I will try to remember to take pictures of the entire house and post them in a slide show.
Anyhoo, today I wanted to share with you my card I made for Beate's weekend challange #23. I have to admit to you all that I actually listened to Chirstmas music while I made this. I am a dork for the holidays. I think that Robb thought I was completely nuts, but I think he thinks that on a regular basis. Oh well it makes me happy and that is all that matters. I think that I will download somemore tonight. Hope that you all have a wonderful day!

WooHoo FRIDAY!

What a week! Not a lot of sleeping happening this week. If it is not the cats, the school bus, it is the smoke dectors that went off the other night because we had to turn the heat on for the first time ever. I guess what ever coatings were burning off caused smoke. That was are really wonderful awakening at 1:30am. Could not go back to sleep after that. The heat is fixed now had to run it all last night with the windows open to air out the smell, but now we are good.
Hope that everyone is doing well. Wanted to share a few things with you. The first is a series of Turkey cards that I made for a swap toss. I bought this turkey stamp just for it. I loved that he was dressed up as a pilgram.

And the last thing I wanted to show you all was my 2x2 bits and pieces swap. The theme was winter. I had my eye on this little guy for a long time and it finally forced me to buy it. I think that they turned out cute.

Since the weather has finally gotten cooler I am going to try to get some stuff outside done. Need to edge the flower beds and create a few. I plan on making a veggie garden in the back yard and a flower garden. We will see when we get to that. Also we are rearranging the garge this weekend and putting things in our attic. At least it is nice outside. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

Good Morning..

Hope all is well with you guys. I am tired today. Between the cats and the School bus that backs up in front of my house at 6:05 every morning I am spent. I just need to make my house sound proof.
Anyway, I have a few new creations to share this morning. These are a few cards for some swaps that I am involved in. The first one is a little snowman that is supposed to be surrounded my a light beam. I think that it worked. I have never done anything like it so I was unsure. I liked the tree paper I think that it looked like a forest. He is colored in with sparkle gel pens. The other creations are for a swap where I made criss cross cards. which I have made before but not 5 at one time. They really tired me out. I think that I will stick to basic cards from now on when I do swaps. Hope that you all like and have a great day!

I am back..

I am finally with it again. I got all caught up after being gone the first part of the week. I don't think that I recovered from sleep until Sunday. But now I have gotten abck into the swing of things again. I wanted to thank all of you that send kind words to me about my Grandfather. His funeral was nice and I am sure it was just what he would have wanted. They had the navy come out and play taps and present Uncle Don with an American Flag. It was really touching.

Now I am back home and I have been working on some projects that I had to put off because of my trip. I made some cards and some projects that were half done and driving me crazy.

The first card is made from a sketch from Bete's weekend challenge. I love the circle on the side it really adds to the design. I do not have a circle cutter so I traced it from a tin pail that I had sitting around. It works for me. :o) This card is part of a gift set that I made for someone, but not going to tell becuase I have not sent it yet.

The other card posted is called and Artist Trading Card (ATC) they are swapped among crafters. They will be various themes but always on the back of the cards list personal info about you so people can contact you if they have questions about what you made. Here is the first one that I have ever made. The theme was Penguins. You know that I could not pass that one up. It is just a little penguin that I heat embossed and he is on a 3.5x2.5 card with little rhinestones in the corners. I liked him. Hope that you do. Anyway I hope that all is well with you all. I will try to up date again soon.
Love You all.

Sorry its been so long

I have not been posting lately. It was a really trying week. Work was so stressful trying to make sales goals. But the worst of all was the passing of my dear Grandfather. I am not sure even what to say. I know that he is gone but sometimes I forget. I have always known him to be there and not he is just not. It is so surreal. Robb and I are leaving in the morning to drive down for the funeral. I have never been to one and have no idea what to expect or even react. I am really at a loss for what to say or do.

I got my mind off of things a little yesterday and had some friends over. My friends Mathew and Tara came over with there new baby boy, Mason. I say new but he is 3 months old. He was so cute and really well behaved. He really slept most of the time so I got some picture time. He was so peacful.

It was good to get some time to take my mind off things. we went to dinner and played the nintendo wii. It was a goodtime. The picture below is me with my friends Christina (the other brunette) and Tara (the Blonde) She is Mason's mother.
Well I need to go sleep. Going to be long next few days. Goodnight.

A few new things...

I wanted to share a few things with you. Grandpa is still in the hospital and everyone needs to keep him in there thoughts. He has to make it until Monday and they can do surgery. In my opinon if anyone in this world can do it he can. He is one tuff cookie.

On a lighter note I made a new card for my Secert Sister Swap through Paper Crafts magazine. It is a layout from Beate's Weekend Challenge on her Blog freash and fun. I got the stamped Bella image from a nice lady that did not want them. I just love these images. I will have to invest in someone day.

I also wanted to share a picture of a picture frame that I made for a swap. Me and 3 other ladies are making season themed frames. I picked spring as my season. I think that it turned out okay.

Lastly I wanted to leave you with the face of my little bitty. She was having fun with her new toy.

Love you all and have a good night. I will keep you updated on Grapndpa's condition.

Sunday Night

Well I am sitting here watching Sunday night football with Robb and surfing the internet. I thought that I would update you all. Nothing special going on this weekend. We had a day date with the doggie that we are considering adopting on Saturday. I am not sure what we are going to do yet. He ended up being a super sweet doggie away from the shelter. We are weighting the pros and cons right now. I will let you know what we decide. Other than that Robb played soccer today. They lost but at least I got to enjoy the last hot day of the year and Robb got some exercise. I have a card I made the other day that I thought that I would share with you. I got the idea from Beate's Blog. You can find the link on the side bar of the blog. The same nice lady advised me that there was a way to change the blog to allow non users to comment to the postings. Now you call can comment away without having to sign up for anything. I have some other stuff that I am working on. Once I am done I will share them with you all. Have a great night! GO BEARS! :) In honor of Robb and the game I am watching right now.

Card Projects

Hey I wanted to share a few cards that I made. The first is a card I made for a special cause. There is a little girl in Texas that needs some support. Her name is Victoria and she has cancer. Her teacher and with the help of the rest of the USA we are trying to get her at least 1 card from every state. Here is my card that I am sending her. I hope that it brings her a little happyiness.

My other cards that I want to share is for a lady that is part of one of my craft groups. She had was having a bad day. Her sons were mad at her and they decided to take her craft card box and throw it away. So to help replenish her stock I made her a couple of cards.

Back from Vacation

I am back from vacation. I was only gone for a few days but it is hard getting back into the swing of things. Here is a picture I took from the hotel balcony. We had a good time and were lucky that we dodged all the rain.
Hope that you all are doing well. I am hoping to have a few pictures of some projects to post soon. Love you all!

I always knew...

That there was a reason I was so intersted in Roman culture:

You Belong in Rome

You're a big city soul with a small town heart
Which is why you're attracted to the romance of Rome
Strolling down picture perfect streets, cappuccino in hand
And gorgeous Italian people - could life get any better?

Lazy Sunday!

It has been a lazy day. I have been a little under the weather and have just been relaxing today. We are watching the Bears game and eating some dinner. I thought that I would update you all.
Grandpa Potts has been in and out of the Hospital for the last week. He is there again tonight so everyone keep him in your thoughts.
Here is a picture I took of him a few years ago. He is still the same Grandpa through all of this. Cracking jokes and making up stories.
Robb and I will be going on vacation to Myrtle Beach at the end of the week. We are leaving on Thursday and will not be back until Sunday. We are really looking forward to that. I will try to update you all before we leave. But I should have some Beach Pics when I get back. Hope everyone is doing well.

Sorry!

I have neglected you all lately. I have just been slacking a little. Things have been busy and when I have extra time I just sleep. Hope that everyone is doing well!
I last project that I finished was a photo album for Robb's Sister. It was for her birthday. She said that she loved it. I made it out of paper bags. They are not just for carrying your lunch anymore.

I finally got the slide shows to work. I think that they are so cool. If it comes up no pictures then just refersh the browser and it should work. I am going to try to get one together of the new house pics. I will try to get to it tomorrow. Robb will be watching Football all day so what else will I do. :)

I am still alive!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it has been a few days, but I am still here. Just a lot going on lately. I have almost finished up all my projects for the birthday extravaganza that is the end of August and beginning of September. I am also involved in some swaps with several other crafting ladies and I have been working on those too. I have made several of the explosion boxes in the past few days. I made one for a secret sister swap that I am involved in, I made one for my boss and his wife who are about to have a baby and I made one for my friend that had a baby boy recently.

Other than that I have just been working and going out with Friends. Last Friday Robb's Grandparents were in town and we had them and his parents over for dinner. It was so much fun. A little wine later and some Wii bowling we were all laughing hysterically.
Hey I wanted to let you all know that if you click on the comments link at the end of each post you can post your thoughts on my posts. Hope to here from you all. Love Ya all !

Almost there!!

Hey all. It is Wednesday, Hump day! We are almost to the weekend. I am currently in the middle of a fantasy football draft. I am killing time before my next pick. No I don't know anything about football but Robb helps me. We play with some of our friends and customers. Kind of helps me relate to the guys a little better. :) Nothing too exciting going on this week just really HOT. It has been above 90 degrees for the last two weeks straight. Tomorrow and Friday it is supposed to be over 100 degrees. I am dreaming of fall right now.

I wanted to share a few things today. I made this card the other day for Robb's Mom. It
matched the box that I made her. I just love the happy bright colors of the paper. It made me think of spring. When it is not as hot! :) I also made this box for Allyson's Birthday. It is called a nugget box. It holds Hersey's Nugget candies. I made the box and wrapped each piece and then
used rub-ons to spell
out HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLYSON. I hope she likes it.

Another Monday

Well It is Monday and I am tried. Nelly will not let me sleep, there is a bus that backs up infront of my house every morning at 5:45 am (BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, ETC), and I keep having weird dreams according to Robb. Anyway hope all is well with you. I went tonight to see Hairspray with Mandy and Michelle. It was a cute movie and I recommend that you all see it.

I am slowly getting pictures of my house with furniture in it. Here I have a picture of my new craft desk. I love it. There is so much storage. I love working at my desk listening to music and crafting. That is my perfect day! Love you all have a great night!

Crafts, Penguins, Birthdays, Oh my!

I just finished up some projects. I feel like I have million going on right now because there are so many birthdays as the end of August and early September. I will not post the ones that have not gotten their gifts yet because I do not want to ruin the suprise :) Here is one that I made for Robb's mom 50th Day.

It is called an explosion box. It just looks like a cute little box on the out side but when you take the top off, it becomes something else. It is just another cute way to show off your pictures instead of scrapbooking them into an album. This way people can see them on an everyday basis. They are really fun to make.

To end my post today. I thought I would leave you all with a picture of my pride and joy that you all have contributed to for
the last few years. Yes it is the Penguin collection. It finally has a home in my new room. Keep in mind that it is on a 6foot tall
shelf. Yes it took that big of a shelf. Robb thinks because it is full that I cannot have any more Penguins, but I have news for him. Love you all.

Happy Friday!

Hey everyone! I hope that everyone is doing well. I have not been doing much today just work, grocery store and I am making a cake for Robb's Mom. It is her birthday on Sunday but we are celerbating it tomorrow. So i will leave you for the night with a picture I took the other day. Just a peacful pic. Love you all.

Welome to my new Home

Hey everyone! I thonght that I would start a blog where I could keep everyone up to date on what is going on im my life.

I am finally settled into my new house. I do love it. I swear that I am going to get some pictures of of these days and send them out to you all. Or I guess I will post them up here. Everyone is doing well. The kitties are all good and are enjoying all their newly aquired space.

Nelly here has finally recovered from her dental issues and is reminding us every morning brite and early that we need to give her some food. She is now on a soft food diet twice a day. She will not let me forget and she will only eat one type of food. She loves Meow Mix in the pouch. That is it nothing else! But with a face like that who can say no.

Spike has decided that making full laps around the house while meowing at the top of his lungs is the best new game. He is getting a little better when it comes to hiding from strangers but not much. One day I will have to video tape him playing laser pointer game. It is histerical! He really seems to like the new house. His behavior has gotten much better. He is not beating up Bitty as much any more and there is a lot less hissing in general.

As you can see no one is complaining about there new home.
I am hoping to have more in the next few days. I want this to be a place that I can keep in touch with and post some of my latest projects that I have made. I have a goal to enter my photography and my crafts in next years Kentucky State Fair. You never know I might even try to get published in a magazine. We will see.
